Bird Brain vs. Malaysia Forensic Department
It doesn't matter whether you have a first or worst class forensic department when you have bird brains that do not sealed up crime scene's vicinity before we even have a solid court case.
Forensics department up to mark - The Star, 13th Nov 2006
- The forensics department will continue to upgrade its services in keeping with technological advances so that it can solve intriguing and extraordinary crimes.
- Deputy Internal Security Minister Datuk Fu Ah Kiow said at present the department had the necessary expertise to handle most cases, including the “high-profile” ones.
- “Let’s not forget, criminals too are getting smarter,” said Fu when met after opening a seminar on Taoism and before he launched a booklet on the prevention of cheating by mediums at Wisma MCA here yesterday.
Criminals are getting smarter and bird brains are getting more in our justice system. All these equalised to nett unsolved cases.

Guess I've been watching too many CSis... Recently there was a case in my hometown where a young girl went missing after meeting a mystery friend. (the girl to date is still missing..) The police appealed to the person who last called the missing girl. (her h/p was missing)
I read the papers and I was really baffled. Why appeal for the person to appear? Can't they summon the number from the telco? It's just sad to see the lack of action resulting in unecessary delay in finding the girl.
helen, CSI is too ideal to be true from my limited knowlegde and involvement in forensic science. However, we must admit that much more can be done to get to the bottom of the commited crimes.
